Copiers are much like cars

Why are COPIERS ARE MUCH LIKE CARS?

They all do the same things……….

Whilst all cars are designed to get you from A – B and all Copiers Copy, there are several other aspects that differ.
For example, before you purchase a car, you would be wise to consider some other factors that have a bearing on the overall costs over its life.

Things that can easily be overlooked are, who will service the car, how much does it cost to service, how much does it cost to run and of course, the quality and reputation of the Manufacturer.
All of these factors need to be considered and should have an overall effect in the decision process of your investment.
Copiers are the same as cars in that, they DO require regular servicing and they vary immensely in their running costs and there are quite a few manufacturers offering varying quality products.

A recent program on the ABC (The Checkout) identified that some inkjet printer ink works out to be $3,000 a litre.

Whilst most Copier Dealers offer Service Agreements, it is important to be aware of any Exclusions that may be in the Service Agreement but also the overall Quality of the Copier.
Surprisingly, Copiers of the same specifications that are made by different manufacturers, can vary in weight by as much as 30%.
The difference in weight can be attributed to the difference in the materials used in the manufacture of the Copier.
Whilst this hardly ever comes into the sales discussion, it could mean that the lighter weight Copier, may have a Plastic Chassis, Plastic Gears and Plastic other parts.
This could also mean, that the lighter Copier may be of inferior quality and prone to a lesser overall life than a good quality Copier.
Whilst repairs are generally covered under the Service Agreement (which is Optional), you need to consider any downtime and the Loss of Productivity to your Business and the inconvenience whilst the Copier is being repaired.

Another significant question should be “What will the life of the Copier be?”

You are making a significant investment in your Business, let it be the wisest one possible.

Amongst the different Brands, it is wise to consider the Options available with your Copier.

You are about to make an investment of between 3 -5 years, so it is important to consider what, if any options you require and plan for the future.
Options can include Faxing and finishing options such as Stapling, Punching and Booklet Finishing and of course the number of Paper Trays available.

When you are looking for a Copier, it is important to remember that if someone just happens to have the exact one you want in stock, it may not be a good thing for you.

It could be, that your potential purchase has been sitting on the shop floor for many months and hence in reality, it’s not really a new Copier is it?

Copiers should be “BUILT” with the various options you require as different from someone happening to have one in stock.
At BIZCOM, we order to your exact requirements. Whilst it only takes between 5 and 7 days to arrive, where the need arises we will loan you a Copier free of charge until your new Copier arrives.
The same applies should your Copier be out of operation for any length of time. We provide you a loan Copier at no extra cost to you.
All of this does come at a Price, but it’s important to remember that, Quality does come at a Price.

So, if you ever think about or mention CHEAP in the sales discussion, are you asking for a Cheaper Price, Cheaper Product, Cheaper Quality or Cheaper Quality of Service?

Something to ponder:

YOU CAN and WILL ONLY EVER GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR…….
