IT Security is a simple description for a deep and complex problem. In this modern age of technology it is increasingly becoming more difficult to manage.

Managing information, in this age of technology is extremely difficult.
All businesses need to at least think about security. An example of this is, How would you know if your Companies Confidential Information such as Pricelists or Customer Databases, are being emailed out or copied?
Security should be important to ALL Businesses.
Whilst we’d rather not really think about Security threats and Risk, other than the odd Virus, Malware or Spam emails, the reality is that these are really minor risk threats and their success is directly related to someone’s curiosity. Usually someone opening an unsolicited email.
The real threats come from non-vetted distribution of information, both accidental and deliberate. Case in point, if a Company loses their Customer Contact information to a competitor, this would most likely be disastrous for them.
Similarly, how many times have you done your Backup and it’s failed?
How many times have you Tested your Backup to see if it really did work?
Have you ever heard people say “I was going to Back it Up” and the sad fact is that it’s only ever said after the failure.

Implementing a Security Strategy is critical. It doesn’t necessarily need to cost a lot of money, but if you lost all of your DATA, what would be the costs to your business?
